We, as the Body of Christ need to become active. We need to live love — it must be tangible, so we must be present. We must make a difference
Such were some of the thoughts that Cape Town chartered accountant and Kingdom marketplace leader Schalk Reyneke shared with believers gathered at the official launch in the city last Saturday of a new networking platform called Kingdom Restitution which he said started to emerge organically as different active Christians began to discover each other and to collaborate over various projects.
He said their journey highlighted the fact that there were many people in South Africa doing amazing things because of their Kingdom mindset but often in isolation, resulting in a lack of resources, missed opportunities and duplication of solutions.
And so with the launch, the emerging “solution factory” was given a name — Kingdom Restitution — and formalised to some extent to help more people through connecting people to work together in a more synergistic and resource-efficient way.
“Ultimately it is about establishing the Kingdom, the manifested completed work of Jesus to just be present in this Earth. As Jesus prayed, he said, let it be on Earth as it is in heaven.
“We have an expectation that we do not just accept the way things look like in this country and in the world, we have an expectation that what Jesus did makes a difference, but we need to practically live that,” said Schalk.
During the launch facilitators for nine different pillars of influence briefed attendees about opportunities to connect and collaborate in those domains.
Kingdom Restitution has a website — https://kingdomrestitution.co.za/ — where people can register and start connecting with other to either offer or receive help.
Jacques Malan of Father’s Voice and one of the founders of Kingdom Restitution said that while they have launched in the Western Cape they are building a blueprint that can be applied anywhere.
