This week Gateway News was tipped off about a testimony on Facebook of a miracle in a Gauteng mall where a young mother, Danika van der Berg has shared how her 18-month-old daughter went blue and stopped breathing after choking on a sweet on Saturday.
All attempts to revive the toddler, by the mother and people who came to her aid, were unsuccessful. But Danika says everything changed after people began to sink to their knees and pray. The lifeless child took a breath. As the little girl was rushed to hospital in an ambulance Danika feared she could have suffered brain damage after a long time without oxygen but doctors who treated her declared her well and she is back home and happy. Danika expressed deep gratitude to God and the many strangers who helped and prayed in the crisis.
We will be interviewing Danika shortly and will update this report.
