Muvhango actress, Maumela Mahuwa, most popular for her role of Susan in the SABC 2 soapie, might soon be dropping her acting career to go into full time ministry as a pastor.
According to the Sunday Sun, Mahuwa, runs an outreach ministry which targets churches in rural villages and travels to different churches in the country where she preaches the word of God.
Pastor Sebola of Christian Transformation Centre in Limpopo shared that she had been involved in ministry for a while now and is dedicated to the work of God. “We normally invite her through her outreach ministry, Omega Ministries, to come and administer to our congregation. We are in a partnership,” he explained. Mahuwa had ministered at his church last week Sunday.
A close friend to the SA actress shared that Mahuwa is a God-fearing woman and is considering going into full time ministry. Muvhango producers are said to be supportive of her choices, though they are a bit sceptical about her believes. “They believe it might interfere with her work,” shared the friend.
Amanda Ngudle, Muvhango publicist, said that Mahuwas has always been open about her ministry. “We are full aware of her other passion besides acting.” Ngudle disputes allegations that Mahuwa might leave the soapie to focus on her ministry full-time.
Mahuwa was not available for comment.
